KVD Big Bass Bash

Has anyone previously fished in the KVD Big Bass Bash? Do you have to weigh-in at the Long Creek Marina or are there more than one place to Weigh-in? We are staying at Oak Hill Resort in Little Aunt's Creek and driving the boat that far is a long ways and trailing that far looks like a 60-90 minute ride.

Unfortunately the only place they weigh in is at Long Creek.   At least the weather looks to be fairly warm so the long boat ride won't be so bad as long as the rain holds off. 

There was a lot of talk about this last year after the tourney, and the BB guy's  just said that's the way they were sticking with.

It's about a 35 - 40 min drive from Aunts to Long creek.  Go thru Kimberling City on 13...less traffic.

catch a 9# bass and it'll be worth the long motor

I fished from well above cape fair one year and made the boat ride all the way down and back. 50 gallons of gas later.. I won a few hundred dollars so I guess it was worth it.

Dont they let you trailer your fish over if you fish on the opposite side of the lake?

Yes you can trailer your boat to the weight site!

From my understanding this is held from Long Creek to Indian Point. All other areas of the lake are off limits.

I think last years's winner caught his fish from the James River arm.  Everybody needs to be fishing that arm. There are no fish anywhere else on the lake.  Everyone needs to be bunched up in Cape Fair.  See you all there.
