dan hufferd Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 I am not looking for anyone's secret spot, just trying to get a feel for the action. I fished Viola, I did see a couple folks catching a few, but I didn't do very well, just a few small males. About like this... Johnsfolly 1

Quillback Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 Last time out I caught 3 crappie on 3.3 Keitechs while bass fishing. 2 of them were on a point with wind on it and were in about 5 FOW. Not a spot I would expect to find crappie. Everybody says the Kings is where you want to be in the spring for crappie, so you were in the right place. magicwormman, dan hufferd and liphunter 2 1

I have been in there before, Bridgeport is a good area as well. It seem like the crappie are usually bigger near Viola, but I am not the best at the crappie thing, I have a lot learn. Thank you very much ! liphunter, magicwormman and Quillback 3

At around 4:30 I found several 14" spots working shad in the back of a cove, bass assassin baby shad (the small one) with and 1/8 oz jig was fun for a while with light tackle. They were around the 10' depth. They were in packs of what looked like 3 to 4. I had to resort to bass fishing😣😜 magicwormman, Johnsfolly, liphunter and 1 other 4
Bill Babler Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 One of our guests this week was fishing a Beetle Spin on the gravel just across and above Viola Marina  and caught a dozen really nice ones. Said he was fishing for whites and the crappie kept getting on. They are still swimming there unless someone else caught them as he threw them all back. He had some nice ones. Said they were about 10' deep. Good Luck Quillback, terryj1024, dan hufferd and 1 other 3 1 http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
