Srappie, another prion related disease, has been documented in England since the 18th century.   No evidence so far it is transmissible to humans.

You make one more personal attack directed at me and I will make some on you.

Being metaphorical or telling it as a fictional story to teach, its a time honored practice...I was insensitive to you and I apologize. But if you feel the need to personal attacking then feel free to do so

Well yeah they are, but venison had nothing to do with it.   Odds are that if they'd ate more of it, and less Taco Bell, they would be in better condition. 😊

Touche! 😆

The main reason for the change, imho, is the money received from the Pittman–Robertson Act. I saw that MDC got $1.70 for every tag SOLD.

Looks like just under 170k deer hunting tags sold in 2014 newest numbers I’ve been able to find...add to that the standard license....way less revenue than the state tax

Add all fishing and hunting, also. Mdc is all about revenue no matter how little.

Frankly I'm appalled that it was ever approved that someone with only 5 acres could hunt on a landowner system. Most of the people I know with 5 acres of pristine yard aren't filling their landowner tags on their 5 acres. It's a joke that only encourages the gaming of the system. In fact, I'm a firm believer that there should be a registry maintained to receive landowner tags and it should require more than 20 acres.

Well maybe they should call it something else then?    Because owning 5 acres makes you just as much of a "landowner" as 500 acres does.

I have 12 acres and there are enough deer on it for 3 guys to all have a successful hunt without hurting the population.
