Ranger520vx Posted September 13, 2019 Posted September 13, 2019 Didn't mean to hijack your thread. But to answer Wrenches question no tach but does have the grey wire but have had it unhooked since we started messing with it. fishinwrench 1
Bgctrading Posted September 13, 2019 Author Posted September 13, 2019 Is there a filter in the tank that could be clogged?

There's a screen on the bottom of the pickup tube. If it becomes clogged then the primer bulb will suck in and won't spring back out. I'm guessing that you don't have that going on, or you would have mentioned it.
Ranger520vx Posted September 13, 2019 Posted September 13, 2019 Nope fuel lines all good it will run forever as long as the rectifier is unhooked.
Bgctrading Posted September 14, 2019 Author Posted September 14, 2019 Ranger I think he was referring to me.

Bgctrading Posted September 29, 2019 Author Posted September 29, 2019 Ok I have done a little more testing. Compression checks out good all pretty even numbers. Spark seems good while checking the plug while cranking. I went ahead and put new plugs in while I was there. I went ahead and put all new fuel lines and filter on. Took it out yesterday and it is the same. So I'm thinking fuel pump? ( I'm willing to buy one if someone can suggest a part number or how to test it?) Or tear the carbs apart? It seems weird though it ran fine the weekend before. I parked it inside and took it the next weekend with same fuel and it immediately acted up. So something seems to have just "failed".
