Probably would need a light that deep. Ive only been down to 70' in the lakes and you could still see but it does get dark. Not much to see that deep in the lakes.

They must see something because the dive boats are always there.  I'm sure it's good pickings.  I've seen them scavenging under the state park marina too.

The guys at the dive desk always the depth that the most fish are at.

i do not think you will see the amount of jelly fish in the lake anymore because of water quality and clarity.  perhaps shane bush the local mdc biologist might have more info.  i am strictly going on what my eyes see, and i hardly ever see them, when we would see them all the time years ago.

Some years on Pomme we see lots of them, by the hundreds, other years hardly any, sems lIke low clear and little inflow conditions are what they like, the big jelly blobs (Bryozoans) are more prevalent this year with long term high water, see lots of photos of them showing up in the Osage Basin lakes this year.

I've wanted to get certified.  I always thought as a fisherman would it would be very educational.

I've been told that on Lake O the first thing you learn is how much FISHING LINE is down there.  And how easily it is to get tangled up in it.

Carry 2 sheath knives .....and don't panic.

If you think you can swim away hard enough to break old soggy 6# line... you're wrong.

Ive been tangled up more times than i can count, braided line makes it even worse.  We started carrying shears, they cut the line easiest and if you shoot a channel you can snip off his pokers so he doesnt try to get revenge.

We totally gave up on diving a long long time ago on Table Rock, just to many idiots that dont know what a dive flag is.

You're like a fly in a spiderweb I imagine.

Whenever I hear these stories about people diving off a boat or a dock ....and never resurfacing...my first thought is "mono".
