Yeah right!    "Ok he's calm.....take the pic quickly!"

You can see the nervousness in your face.  😆

Not really.  I caught so many it wasn’t that big a deal.  You just gotta know how to talk to them.  Would of been nice if my caddie waited for me to look up and smile but he wasn’t in the middle after netting and picture taking all day.  Some days you just got it.

No. But a week later they stunk to to high heaven!   Trip through the car wash, scrub brush with simple green and then scrub brush scrubbing bubbles and it’s finally tolerable.

@fishinwrench Some funny stuff, as usual. But kidding aside — I think it’s a shame to unnecessarily injure any fish you’re planning to release. Bass can handle some jaw flexing but a trout’s jaw is more fragile, as you know. Hate to see you make light of it.

If you read the original post, those brookies aren’t stockers. You do know they’re native to that area, right? So, yeah they’re kinda special in my opinion. And they’re protected.

I do agree that the handling of tournament bass is an issue, but that’s just misdirection in this context.

I know they are reportedly called native (once wiped out....but brought back on our dime).  Bass are native too, they just haven't cost us anything yet, so I guess that's why the "racism" exists.

They are ALL special.   Both should be protected/respected.

Actually I'm not so sure that brookies (char) are truly native west of the Mississippi.  Are they?
