We have friends like that.  Absolutely go crazy for it.  There will be 8-10 women in their group. They stay up all night and turn it into a party.  By noon on Friday they are drunk as skunks.

About 10 years ago we went over to my uncles place in Collierville TN for Thanksgiving.  My uncle wanted to go to BPS on Black Friday (this was before they moved to the Pyramid), so having nothing better to do, I went with him.  We went pretty early in the AM, anyway we got there and I could not believe how packed that place was.  Literally shoulder to shoulder with people.  Checkout lines were something like 30 people deep.  I'll never do that again.

Black Friday is the start of a 4 day weekend for me.  Normally leave out on Thurs. nite.  Or duck hunting, or deer when alternative season picked up that weekend.  Never felt the urge to shop. 

Cyber Monday is nice, can do that without doing it with a bunch of brain dead idiots.  Thank God for computers.....

I was just telling my group of stores that today. We do it for the customers.

 

Oh, and the big fat bonuses that we love at the end of our year! (Actually that’s the ONLY reason my stores have sales. We are greedy like that) But we will be closed on Black Friday so we can stay home with our families and friends.

Possibly. My background is in the automotive side but we do have people that specialize in industrial.
