My Yota just got another recall on the passenger side airbag.  Seems like the first jap airbag they replaced was defective also.  Going to try again.

At least the driver side is safe, who whats to go on a road trip??

Well let's see......I drove/rode for 37 years without one.  Don't know anyone saved by one. And I know one person who crashed BECAUSE of one.

So sure I'm game.  😊

Was 4-wheelin with my cousin in his Toyota once during deer season, we hooked a snatch rope to a Ford to try to get a guy out of a ditch and when he gave it the final Hail Mary attempt his airbag blew up in his face.   Scared the hell out of us !

The inflator on the defective ones tends to go off like a frag grenade spewing shrapnel into the passenger. That is why they recall it.

The government mandated them, so they must be good for you...

When my cousin's airbag deployed it knocked his hands off the steering wheel.  That doesn't seem like a good thing to have happen if you were negotiating a crash.

Jesus, take the wheel ! 🤪

By the time the air bag deploys your “negotiating” options have expired.

They have had some issues but they have saved lives.
