Marty, that is one heck of a garden you have there!

Just watched the local weather forecast, we could be seeing some straight line winds up to 80 MPH.  I'm not liking that at all.  Dang weather...

Yes Jeff you are in the enhanced area for storms. I keep an eye on this site when storm season hits. The enhanced part has even crept farther North than it was when I checked this morning,

Planted from seed about 3 years ago maybe. Never grew taller than 6", never bloomed, survived the Winters.  This year it took off! Looks like it's going to bloom! What the heck is it? I don't really remember.

The broccoli is doing well, crowns have formed and I'm thinking in another 2 weeks I can start harvesting some.  Haven't grown brussels sprouts before, but the plants look healthy.  Planted some cantaloupe and cukes this weekend.

I have grown broccoli several times and it does well.  Frost resistant so I plant it in early to mid-March and usually it will be ready mid-May.  It's only good for 2 or 3 weeks, then it gets too hot and it starts going to seed.

First time with the brussels, should start to produce early June.

I've had similar experience with broccolli  I will say it is the best broccoli I ever had.  Raw with Otts dressing is awesome.  Did not yet have good luck with Brussel sprouts.  Cabbage from the garden is easy and super good too.  Love me some cabbage!

Looking good Jeff!

Harvested the first one today, probably could've let it grow for another day or two, but I have a dozen plants so I need to do some eating.  going to stir fry it in butter.

Cover your stuff, looks like a chance of a rare May frost coming in this weekend.

Goofy weather.

I have lost 15 bee hives this spring because of it.  Cold snap traps them on the brood and away from the honey food supply, they starved to death.  This spring has sucked all around for the bees.
