No denying that it's really "neat", but you caught alot of fish before you ever had one.   Didn't ya?

You catch a lot of fish without a bass boat and yet you still own one, right? I don't see what the difference is owning a jet boat versus a kayak when it comes to stream fishing. The kayak will get you to areas you can't run a jet boat, but you can also cover far more water with a jet from a single access. If I wanted to go catch fish, I could walk 300 yards and catch all the little stunted ditch pickles and bluegill I wanted for free, but where is the fun in that? That's for people who are using spinning reels upside down and think the only lure you could ever need is a Johnson Beetle Spin.

Many advantages to fishing out of a jet boat. You can go back and catch that one fish that you missed on a buzz bait blow up. You can also fish about 3/4 length of most rivers. No shuttling, also the wind doesn’t blow you around like a kite. Standing while fishing makes casting easier and more accurate, less fatigue at the end of the day, live wells, multiple people can cast comfortably. Relatively low gas consumption. I’ll never go back.

oh and I forgot....fish main lake points with @fishinwrench

I guess the difference is that I'm not listening to or messing with an outboard motor.  Which, since I already do that every day, it's nice to get away from and enjoy fishing minus outboards every once in awhile.

Why would anyone ever want to enjoy a meal..... without having to cook?   😊

If I had all the time in the world I would float, fish, camp, hang and enjoy, but I work.  It’s like you dropping in LOZ and hitting the areas you like and back to the shack for a beer.

I think y'all misunderstood my point, which was that just because your boat is temporarily down doesn't mean that FISHING is no longer an option in your life.

Yes, motorboats are great!   Obviously.  I was just reminding you that a really good time can still be had without one.

Where determines when.  I'll probably go somewhere close to home Monday 😊 You're always welcome.

And guess whose boat is NEVER down?  😂

I’m guilty of doing this. There is some great stream and creek fishing within 20 minutes of my house that I don’t take advantage of nearly enough.

I think @Blazerman has a semi v blazer with A 40 jet that he goes on the rivers and LOZ and table rock.

I posted on here before about how i think i i have the perfect river and lake boat. i ran all over the Meramec for year and ran in some super skinny water with no issues. Now i keep it at LOTO where i use it for all my bass and crappie fishing. Plus ran way up past the swinging bridge a couple of times. Also used it on the White river below Bullshoals dam and on Bullshoals, Table Rock and hauled it up to Canada to fish Rainy lake a couple times. Being an 1856 with the modified V and high sides it handles waves fairly well. And the 90/65 4 stroke is super quiet and i get decent gas mileage. Only downside (for some) is it is not a go fast boat by any stretch.
