I bought one just now.   Thank you for posting this.   Exactly what I have been looking for.  Truly, wish I could shake your hand.

So how much is it? The link doesn't show a price and says unavailable online. Is it available in their store?

It was an online deal when I posted $99.99, I think- I slept since then,  but I imagine that is no longer true. Actually saw that referenced on another forum where the guy said he and friends had ordered twenty; someone there said they had missed a decimal or.... I've never had a trolling motor but have considered one for upstream trips in the canoe. Wrench suggested it wasn't appropriate and I believed him.

Glad some one got to take advantage of the sale. @Daryk Campbell Sr let us know if that deal went through or what happens?

Was $99.99.

I suspect it was a mistake, and I'd be surprised if BPS honors it. Lowes does that from time to time and they seldom actually sell you the item.

I've seen similar things from other vendors in the past and it seemed in those instances that the earlier orders got processed and at some point they caught on and stopped the processing of or orders with the "no longer available" story.  I figured it would be gone at starting time Monday morning, but computer generated and processed orders prior to BPS taking down the ad might go through. Likely that if an item normally sells two a week and you get a 1000 orders overnight that alarms go off.

A clamp on hand operated TM would be better than a foot operated one.

The issue I have with using a TM on a canoe, other than a square stern model, is that it kills the balance.   You step out of the canoe....and it falls over on its side.   Try to pull it over a portage and it's like dragging your drunk buddy from the bonfire to the car.

If you want a trolling motor then get a Jon boat and leave the canoe for paddling.  😊

I used one for years on the trout area of the upper Meramec.  We would stay all day above Cardiac and then at the end of the day motor out.   We never portaged it though.
