Kimberling City at 6 am this morning was a very chilly 29 degree on the Avalanche thermo.  Son Steve and I fished the floater for several hours and we caught 8 solid keeps on the floater.

Biggest was a 3.88 LM   followed by a 3.65 LM and then a 3.12 jaw and 2 fat K's both at 2.95 rounded out our 11 fish morning, all keeps.  That puts the best 5 at 16.55 and thats a good day for us.

IMG_3145.jpg8 on the floater, 1 on a plus 2 in TR sp, one on a A-rig and one on a swimbait.

Both of us nearly froze to death.  Got off the water by noon and I'm still cold.

Bill, good looking healthy fish. It’s always fun fishing with your son, eh?

He said I front- ended him all morning.  Sheer Disrespect for his elders 😆

I have to fish one of my wife's friend's husband every year and that guy back ends me all day.  He should be on the TV show where they share the boat because he can maneuver around to block me out like nobody's business....  Last year I brought a lawn chair to use on the back deck since I don't have anything to do.  :D

Throw the one on the right next time you fish with him. Not at him. Just anywhere. It's a memorable experience when it's in the air. Well worth $20 just to see the look.0306202155a.jpg

Been wanting to try the Pompadour. Just haven't gotten the courage up to buy one and tie it on for fear of being laughed at the checkout counter and then off the lake. How does that thing run?

It raises a ruckus. Obviously just a big fancy Crazy Crawler. Definite metallic sound. That's it next to a full size spook, for scale.

Going through the air it sounds like you added buzz blades to an A-rig. And it's super stabby.
