3DHUSKER Posted April 11, 2020 Author Posted April 11, 2020 If the mortality rate is 65% how about we eat those instead of them rotting on the bottom of the lake.
3DHUSKER Posted April 11, 2020 Author Posted April 11, 2020 Since no one has any idea what I am talking about (lack of comments on topic) and no one can afford this (it's too expensive is really the only comment) it's obvious this is just another moot point when it comes to banning or limiting something no one has or can afford. So once again has anyone seen this with their own eyes. Standard Def versus HD? Guessing I will just go with HD so when they regulate this like firearms I have good HD PRE BAN stuff. So I am in... and grandfathered.

3DHUSKER Posted April 11, 2020 Author Posted April 11, 2020 Thank you for that answer. I haven found anyone other than a couple jack leg youtubers that claim to have. Neither one of them are smart enough to tie their own shoes in the morning. snagged in outlet 3 1

I think I have installed 9 since February. Do I want it for myself? Yeah, but no. Playing with it for a few days will sure teach you some stuff though. That whole "Bass wanna be around cover all the time" thing......Yeah that was a lie ! Maybe before y'all started hauling them around and releasing them in areas where they are LOST all the time, then that was the thing. But they don't act like that so much anymore. Just hanging out there in the middle of nowhere like schools of stripers, by the thousands. snagged in outlet 3 1

Both are awesome, sure they are, i know that already but what one looks better, is it true that Standard def unit looks better than HD unit with the only current premium ducer offered? How the hell did you get on the haul the green carp around the lake topic from this? Focus Wrench Focus. snagged in outlet 3 1

Focus Wrench Focus Because I don't think that many LMB would be roaming around in a suspended state unless they were taken from their home range and dumped into an unfamiliar area, over and over again, until they just adapted to being lost all the time. That's just not typical LMB type behavior. As for the initial question.....it probably has to do alot with the settings and how good you are with setting the unit up, which I am NOT. I properly install the units and then it's up to the owner to figure out the rest. The latest and greatest appears to have the capability of showing you the precise shape and size of each individual fish. You can easily tell the difference between a bluegill/crappie/White bass/LMbass/drum/flathead/blue. I mean you can see the forked tail on a channel cat for crying out loud. And you can easily tell a Spoonbill from a gar, even the little ones. This blows my mind considering the angle of the pulse and signal returns. How it does it is a mystery to me. I can tell you that the next hot technique for oversized bass is going to be a variation of depth controlled trolling (or spoon pitch snagging). How else are you going to pattern bass that are pelagic? Just by drifting around over open water fan casting? Nope they'll begin to allow trolling in tournaments. Guarantee it. If not then you can bet your boat that jackpot tournaments are going to be won by video game style snagging.
aarchdale@coresleep.com Posted April 11, 2020 Posted April 11, 2020 The thing i noticed between mine and a buddies as far as clarity. His larger unit with more pixels make his much clearer than my 93sv, There really isnt a ton of settings to play with on the Garmin stuff, it works pretty well out of the box, just play with the gain here and there and experiment with color palettes. The blue works the best for my eyes
3DHUSKER Posted April 11, 2020 Author Posted April 11, 2020 So the units I am looking at have the same pixels. One is standard and one is UHD. If the pixels are the same does it really matter if it is UHD? Seems that it shouldn't.

I do agree with you on NOT hauling green carp around and dumping somewhere else. On topic... Do you see a difference in the standard units vs the UHD as far as detail? Units I am looking at have the same pixels but are STD and UHD. Maybe you can't tell or haven't really noticed. Do I spend the extra money for UHD or is it not necessary. Unit to view is all I lack to get up and running.
