Bgctrading Posted April 29, 2020 Posted April 29, 2020 Have they hit The banks yet or have they started going back out? Thanks for any intel.
DADAKOTA Posted April 29, 2020 Posted April 29, 2020 Crappie have been in and out for a couple weeks mid lake. Depends on the weather. Sunny afternoons they are on the bank. Mostly males last weekend up on the bank.
Members Gwilson26 Posted April 30, 2020 Members Posted April 30, 2020 Any sense of water temperature? Went down 2 weeks ago and no luck at all with crappie. thanks!

Members Gwilson26 Posted April 30, 2020 Members Posted April 30, 2020 Thanks! We’ll be down this weekend and be sure to give an update on the crappie. Any more luck with the crappie this week? Fingers crossed with warmer days ahead.
DADAKOTA Posted April 30, 2020 Posted April 30, 2020 Haven't been. Won't know till I get back down there.
Bill Babler Posted May 2, 2020 Posted May 2, 2020 We caught some absolute Giants on Thursday bass fishing in the Gravois. Stick bait in about 4 to 6 ft. of water on gravel windy banks. Told Greg if we had a jig and float we would have slaughtered them. 58 degree and stained when we started and close to 64 when we ended the day. conorsixtakc Posted May 4, 2020 Posted May 4, 2020 They sure have to be by now. Spent Saturday AM chasing bass on Stockton and Mother Nature must’ve thought I was looking skinny. Two of these slabs hit a squarebill and one choked a half ounce spinnerbait, go figure. Walter also choked the blade. Sure was nice getting away from boat docks. fishinwrench and Seth 2
97procraft Posted May 4, 2020 Posted May 4, 2020 We were down this weekend and it seemed to change every day for us. One day they wanted a shad imitation under a cork the next day wouldn't touch it but would hit a slow moving jig close to the bottom. We ended up with a double limit on Friday and Saturday, but we had to work for it. Evening bite was the best for us. Most fish were scattered and only once did we catch more than 3 in the same spot.
DADAKOTA Posted May 4, 2020 Posted May 4, 2020 Very similar tale for us. Evenings better. Had 3 different reports of pre-spawn females being caught in 15 to 20 feet of water on #7 shadraps, bandits, and flickr shad. Better than 70% of our catch were males.
