I am in the East side of the the state for the foreseeable future looking after my grandpa after some back surgery. I went by Feathercraft the other day and they were closed. Any other fly shops here that are worth a darn? Wanting to just get some materials, maybe a reel, and patronize a small business in the area. @snagged in outlet 3 sorry to infect your area..

Thanks in advance!

Right down the street from Feathercraft is TJ Hargrove’s but I’m not sure if they’re open either.

Might be best to just wait until Monday I suppose

Talked to Tom Hargrove on the phone yesterday. Tom & Max are still at the fly shop most days, but not open for  you to browse. Doing some remodeling as well. Call him up with what you want, and he will sack it up for you. Shop number is 314-968-4223 located at 9042 Manchester Rd, 63144.  Tom is closed on Sunday & Monday.

Hit up Tommy.  Did you call feathercraft?   They might be doing curbside.  I bet Tommy is.  Nortsiders always welcome here

Evan, Dan, & Ryan at Feather Craft are good guys too. Would call and ask for one of them if Tom does not have in stock, cant order, etc.  Partial to Tom's place because he is a good friend and long time customer of mine. Used to go to FC more often when Ed Story was alive. Always enjoyed talking with him. Bob isn't so personable, never hit it off.

Feather-Craft may be a good place to go into,  but they suck at the mail order business.

I've never had issues....  Wouldn't be that podunk county yo live in would it?😁

Feather-Craft gave me bad vibes the first few times I was in there like "this guy isn't driving an Audi and doesn't look like he knows anything or has a few thousand dollars to spend so I won't even acknowledge his existence."  Which is mostly true.  YMMV.
