lonkm Posted May 4, 2020 Posted May 4, 2020 how do you make whites taste good? I cut all red meat off and soak them in salt water and they still taste strong, are strippers good to eat? are they strong too?
Terrierman Posted May 4, 2020 Posted May 4, 2020 Hoo boy. Where is wrench when we need him? fishinwrench, Royal Blue, Old dog 417 and 2 others 5
bferg Posted May 4, 2020 Posted May 4, 2020 Woof... I can't speak to either but I can confirm Striper and Stripper are not the same thing. I would anticipate someone here could answer the question on both accounts. snagged in outlet 3 1
J.M. Posted May 4, 2020 Posted May 4, 2020 I don't like whites but like striper a lot, but you still have to cut the red off.
Ryan Miloshewski Posted May 4, 2020 Posted May 4, 2020 What about strippers?? There's one in New Orleans who probably remembers me.. terryj1024 1 “To those devoid of imagination a blank place on the map is a useless waste; to others, the most valuable part.”--Aldo Leopold
Terrierman Posted May 4, 2020 Posted May 4, 2020 To be honest, I won't put a knife on either one anymore. Harold Ensley used to dip them in yellow mustard before seasoned corn meal and then fry. I tried it too and still considered it a failure.
fishinwrench Posted May 4, 2020 Posted May 4, 2020 If you cut the lateral line out and still think they taste "too fishy".....then you don't like fish. Stick to eating crappie and walleye where all you can taste is whatever you bread them with. Royal Blue, snagged in outlet 3, semble and 4 others 4 3

I think bluegill have a good flavor, too, honestly. Terrierman 1 “To those devoid of imagination a blank place on the map is a useless waste; to others, the most valuable part.”--Aldo Leopold
