Lure retriever

I have an H20 Express that is just like a hound Dog and only cost $4.99.  I think I got it on amazon.  That thing has paid for itself dozes of times.  One Mega bass and you are way ahead.

I have the hound dog and added  six 8 inch pieces of window sash chain to it, it will snag the lure just about every time.Duck.

I use the academy H2O as well. I also tie it to my marker buoy so the string doesn’t get tangled. Instead, 2 uses for 1 tool.

Easily stowed. Easily deployed. Rod in one hand and retriever in the other for a one man operation. Works great.

Just make sure you epoxy the leash latch permanently shut so it will never open and the lose the retriever.

Mine is going on 15+ years.

It wasn't my idea. Saw it A LONG TIME AGO on another fishing forum. It's light years better than using an old sawed off rod and big round reel that lots of guys use. Or winding the stupid thing by hand around a board (or pick your random cylindrical object).

It's saved hundreds if not thousands of dollars dollars by now. I've said it before but it also had made me a better angler due to the fact that I have almost no fear of throwing expensive baits into areas I know I am likely to get hung up. Plenty of spots like that in TR with all the trees, cables, etc. I have about a 90% or better success rate of getting it back with the retriever.

I'm going to order one.  Thx!  I mostly fish rivers and I agree.  I'll throw a mega bass anywhere.  And I charge my buddies to get theirs back....
