Am I reading this right? Its basically a catch and eat/kill smallmouth tournament? Hopefully this will be the 1st and last annual tournament of this kind they host

I'm thinking they'll be lucky to have 5 teams enter.  And 2 of those teams will get skunked. 

9 fillets aren't gonna feed many people, they'd better have some backup crappie fillets or something.

Supposedly they already have 25 teams. Looks like I might have to take off and float on the 12th.

That's the way I took it..  We oughta blow up Joe combs website but he doesn't have one that I could find.  Only Facebook and I don't have facebook

Looks like somebody else already posted this was a bad idea on his Facebook page.  I added a question for clarification. Beaver Creek Campground is a nice place but this is pretty lame

Use to float that section of Beaver Creek. Never saw or caught any large fish in that stretch. I figured the locals probably kept anything of size.

I like it. if all competitions were run this way they wouldn't be so popular. It would stop the lost fish 75 miles from home syndrome instantly. Following the rules there should be little or no culling of fish, another upside. I believe that if everyone had to keep and eat all their catch, it wouldn't be long until we had a better fishery because most guys would play other games.

Of course it can easily be derailed by simply buying it out, get 40-50 "teams' to sign up and not show up or mob the gas station to prevent orderly sign up and jam the campground with 'tourists' looking for directions and blocking traffic and access.
