According to dock talk they are 12-22' around brush.... but that is probably just because that's where everyone is automatically programmed to fish after the spawn.   I get lightheaded and dizzy if my boat sets over water that is more than 20'.

..and I get claustrophobia if I am in less than 25’.  I WILL go there though when the fish are there.  Not this time of year; those shallow fish are all yours. I was catching the 21’ LM( mostly 15-17”) while prospecting for walleye 2 weekends back.  Fishing is pretty good.

I have this annoying hangup about "charitable organizations".  It feels great to give directly to someone and genuinely help them out, but to give money to an "organization" that is collecting money for a cause, knowing full well that there are people in between you and the effected ones getting paid to do their part.....

I just refuse to do it. 🙄

Buy food and give it to the local food pantry.  The one here is 100% volunteer run.   Course you might not like the people picking up the free food.  I was disheartened but still donate.  I don’t like giving to a church.

Oh you mean the ones that show up in nearly new cars, carrying Coach purses and texting on an Apple 11Pro while standing in line?

Yeah, no.

Tell ya what though, I gave a very pleasant and hard working waitress a tip big enough to make her cry yesterday.   Is that good enough? 😊

Well I'd say if you gave her that tip with the thought that would be your OA entry fee, then that would work, or if not, next time out you can do the same (assuming good service from the waitress).

No one has signed up yet BTW, I will to get the ball rolling, I am thinking I'll hit Beaver that Saturday, might have an outside chance at getting an 18" smallie.

And smoking.  I know the expense of that habit.

Wish I could claim that, but unfortunately I did it because it was hot out there, they were busy as hell but she still made us feel like royalty, I didn't have any smaller bills and I wanted to save her the trip back to give me my change.   I'd do it again and announce that it was for OA but we don't go out very often.....and let's get real, I can't afford to be doing that very often.

Have you ever tipped so graciously that it offended your wife?    I didn't realize that was possible...... but it is. 😅

How do we sign up?

You gotta give all your extra money, and 2 of your favorite baits, to the church. Jesus does the rest. 😁
