oneshot 1 Posted August 10, 2020 Posted August 10, 2020 I had my last Radiation Treatment couple weeks ago. Yesterday evening I got sick and was sick all night long. I'm still very weak and no appetite. Normal Temperature. I was told I could have days like this for up to a year. oneshot
MOPanfisher Posted August 10, 2020 Posted August 10, 2020 No two people have quite the same experience, but if it's only one day it is a "normalish" thing. However always mention it to your dr at the next appt. And if it lasts for more than a day, call them. You should have been given some anti nausea meds as well, don't hesitate to takethem.at the first sign, once you get behind the curve it is almost impossible to catch up to it.
oneshot 1 Posted August 10, 2020 Author Posted August 10, 2020 Well Son said him and his girlfriend just had same problem. I have some medication I've been taking. I was to go fishing this morning but was unable to. Got a busy next couple months, if this is to be so be it. oneshot
jdmidwest Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 Radiation keeps cooking for a while after that last treatment. Takes a year to get to the "new" normal. But if you survive, it will make you stronger. But, you will not be the same as before. It is a damaging treatment. oneshot Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 Feeling better today. I still don’t trust farts. I haven’t been the same since I had my Gallbladder taken out. My wife asked if I wanted to go to Clinton with her? I told her I best not. oneshot
oneshot 1 Posted August 11, 2020 Author Posted August 11, 2020 Checked on line. Yes I could be sick over the Radiation. Or could have a Bug like our Son. Or a Combination of things. Like I say feeling better but. Along with no control over my peeing, not being able to get an erection, not much use of my Left arm. Oh what fun. oneshot
MOPanfisher Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 There is a point in life when a feller shuld stop trusting farts completely. Several of us could also become patient zero for COVID 21 or what ever they might want to call it, contract the original version, it hits our system and mutates into something different. Personally I am betting on fast moving zombies like World War Z, then they won't care about me and I can wander among them and still fish all my favorite spots without competition, normal people are screwed however. BilletHead Posted August 12, 2020 Posted August 12, 2020 Well I cannot speak of being radiated but can speak on being a caregiver. Pat did not get nauseated but did burn pretty bad. She got silvadene cream to put on her radiation burn. She got shot in the chest area and it could cause heart problems in some people. Nothing bad there as of yet and I can attest she has the biggest heart of anyone I know. 😍 laker67, tho1mas, Terrierman and 1 other 4 "We have met the enemy and it is us", Pogo If you compete with your fellow anglers, you become their competitor, If you help them you become their friend" Lefty Kreh " Never display your knowledge, you only share it" Lefty Kreh "Eat more bass and there will be more room for walleye to grow!"
