Had a Dealer offer us $100 apiece over New cost on pistols.

Said there is a waiting list and we only need one apiece.

Is he full of it or is there actually a shortage?

Speculation on Remington being dismantled  and sold piecemeal and some of the purchasers not being interested in firearms and ammo as much as in the real-estate. If you can't ban the manufacture of firearms, you can force the manufacturers into bankruptcy.  Ammo should go crazy real quick too.

They sure did.  Not so much the hunting stuff - at least not quite as much - but just go ahead and try to find a box of 12 gauge buckshot for example.  
Or .38 special or 9mm.  You can still get a box of .270 or .243 etc. with a lot less variety in choice.

So he is right there being a shortage but it gets bad I think I better have every weapon I have.

When Obama was in I went to Mexico for a Trailer load of Ammo thinking I would get some. Every bit of it was sold.

Ammo is hard to come by these days. Lucky if you can pick up 4-5 boxes of stuff you will use. Only keep 12g, 45, and 22lr on hand. Have a few others but that’s what we shoot. Wife’s ccw revolver  shoots 7 22lr.

I’m saying we have plenty 380 and 9mm Ammo but it all depends.

If it gets bad I have plans and none are pretty.

When you SHTF predictors say "when it all goes bad..." What are you expecting to have to shoot, people or animals? 

Either way you're better off with a 12ga.shotgun, so why is everyone stockpiling center-fire rifle and pistol cartridges?
