Thing is the average angler can't tell the difference between the two and I've heard suckers called carp a thousand times over the years by guys on the creeks. If we take conservation at all seriously then we must own that each species is important as any other species and provide protection for all species, as it it stands the conservation department is caught up in money and popularity and has very little actual direction towards true conservation or preservation. Science is only applied when and if it serves the agenda. jfrith 1

I attempted to correct an MDC agent that the fish he was calling carp were indeed Buffalo. I was unsuccessful in convincing him, he blew me off as though I was an idiot. tjm 1
