Interesting. Would have thought that MLF would have been the ones to make a big splash like this with a major national network live event. Looks like BASS is putting up a fight against the Many Little Fish league. Has to make you wonder if more MLF guys will come back to BASS if this kind of money is being tossed around. Which in the end is what made the pros leave BASS to go to MLF in the first place. Money talks.

I don't mean to discredit any of the anglers on that tour. They are the BEST ANGLERS in the world. Period. Just the novelty of the format has completely worn off for me. Over the dinkfest. If BASS would get their heads out and just do the refereed immediate weigh and release system I think they'd put a hurtin' on MLF. Maybe someone that follows MLF more closely could educated me if they have changed any of their format to have some of their events the "biggest 5" or some combination other than always combined "scoreable bass" total weight.

CBS has a deal with MLF last I checked where they show the championships of the cup series.

I know you were. Just didn't want to come off as a hater. I dislike the format not the pros competing.

Cool, look forward to maybe watching some of the shows.  It really depends on the lake and how they are fishing that gets me to watch.  I can't stand watching people fish drop shot, no matter if they are catching dinks or 5 lbers.

I keep thinking one of these leagues will figure out a way to do multiple different formats over the course of the season. You could have MLF style total weight events, BASS style 5 biggest fish.  What about just biggest fish?  Different fisheries could have different tournament styles- like NASCAR having short track, road races, and restrictor plate....  I think that would be a fun season to watch.

The drop shot deal would be pretty cool if they could put a live feed of their live scope on the screen.  Other than that- I’m with you, it isn’t super exciting .

I always think after they drop it and they are standing there staring down it would be a good time for them to light a cigarette 😂
