I typically fish trout from Oct to April. Love overcast days since they bite well usually throughout the day. @fishinwrench I have been out a few times when storms have come through.. fortunately I am usually wearing waders and water resistant hunting jackets when I fish in Jan or Feb. May have to hunker down if I am more than an hours hike back to the vehicle. May even get a few more bites after the front passes. laker67, Terrierman and snagged in outlet 3 3

Day starts out kinda cool and foggy, then the fog clears and here comes the wind. Temp starts dropping and it begins to rain. Rain turns to a downpour thunderstorm. Then finally it stops....and here comes the wind again, with steadily dropping temperatures. I only have one keeper in the box, and I'm on my last pair of dry gloves.... Check the clock and there's 3.5 hours to go. Mama! 😭 So you could head back but you don’t? Quit whining😁 laker67 and Terrierman 1 1

Except when I’m down here in summer on vacation with the family. Johnsfolly 1
