Quillback Posted December 30, 2020 Posted December 30, 2020 My annual COE permit expires at the end of this month. Pre-Covid I could drive over to the Rogers COE office and get it renewed. Now their policy is for you to mail them a check and they will send you the permit. However - Permits are now extended for 7 months after expiration, so my permit is good until the end of July, so no need for me to renew at this time. This has been a public service announcement. 😃 magicwormman, snagged in outlet 3, cheesemaster and 2 others 5
Devan S. Posted December 30, 2020 Posted December 30, 2020 Are permits actually required anyways? I know I tried to buy one back in June or July and was told day use was free due to COVID and they thought it would remain that way for the foreseeable future?

I don't know, they are always changing policy, I didn't think to ask if I needed one at all, once I heard it was good for another 7 months I was OK.

One of our guests went down to walk in the park in Late October and did not pay the day fee. Had a ticket on their wind shield when they got back to the car http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
Devan S. Posted December 30, 2020 Posted December 30, 2020 I should have just looked it up. Thanks for the heads up to both of you. https://www.swl.usace.army.mil/Business-With-Us/Day-Use-Fees-Annual-Day-Use-Pass/ First sentence says it all: "Day Use Fees are once again being collected throughout USACE" I have been awfully darn lucky the last 2-3 months or more then. Dutch Posted December 30, 2020 Posted December 30, 2020 If you are old enough to get the federal Senior Pass (formerly known as the Golden Age Pass) it replaces the COE permit and you only have to get it once. magicwormman, m&m and jeb 3
sfiser Posted December 30, 2020 Posted December 30, 2020 permits are not currently required due to covid. I tried to buy one back in September when mine ran out and the COE officer said they arent checking or requiring them right now due to COVID. He said probably mid 2021 they would get back to requiring them but that was just a guess.
Bill Babler Posted December 30, 2020 Posted December 30, 2020 These folks were from Texas and did not pay the ticket but they showed it to me and this was in October. He needs to tell his Rangers not to write them for not paying the day passes then. I’ll go and look at old 86 when it stops raining and see if the fee box is there or if there is a sign magicwormman 1 http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
Devan S. Posted December 30, 2020 Posted December 30, 2020 I can tell you there was no sign at Dam Site at Beaver last week and there was a stocked fee box. I just rolled on through.
Targa98 Posted December 31, 2020 Posted December 31, 2020 I was at Cape fair in late Oct and the couple was at the shack and said that Yes they were charging again so I went ahead and purchased a year tag
