Me and my wife bought got COVID-19 and basically no symptoms She was tested after she was exposed and came up positive.  I got it from her.

We really tried, wore masks and all but still got it. We went ahead and got the Vaccine.

David, please explain how the older people are getting infected if they are taking the precautions that they are told to take?  They are either not following orders from the media, or have little concern and go about their daily lives like normal.  But give your take on your comment.

Al, like i have stated, if you are of high risk for any type of infection, take precautions YOURSELF. Don’t expect the world to bow because 18% of the population are at risk. Silly thinking. 
 

If you can’t see straight, you should probably check into a mental facility. Maybe they provide masks AND medication.

That’s EXACTLY what should be happening. It’s absolutely stupid for you to think you can go outside and live a normal life if YOU are at risk. At risk for anything. If your mask protects you, wear the dang thang. If your seatbelt saves you, wear it. If drinking vodka helps you sleep, drink more of it. But don’t get drunk and wonder onto the roadway and not expect to get ran over.

That is the BIG THANG- the masks do not protect the wearer, Oneshot's mask gave Al a little bit of protection and Al's mask is protecting Ketchup. So for me to be protected Ketchup needs to wear a dang mask.

otoh, if I tell Ketchup to wear a mask for my protection, I am being just as self-centered as  he is by refusing to wear one.

I suppose that we are all going to die of something and getting rid of the aged and non working segments of the population does benefit the young and they can't see that it will soon be their turn, this has gone a long ways toward reducing Social Security payouts and similar age associated costs to the governments worldwide. A couple more years and there won't be any old diabetics in  any developed country. No doubt that this will continue for a long while, maybe until the younguns  of today are ripe for disposal.

A picket fence won't keep mosquitoes out of your house either, even if it has fresh paint.

This is the exact thing that is SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN. 

This is how nature works.   It might hurt to hear it, and it might be difficult to accept it, but our population is way out of balance.    

It's time to man-up and face the facts.....The carrying capacity for PEOPLE on this earth has been exceeded.   Haven't you all noticed how hard it is to friggin BE ALONE?  

It shouldn't be so difficult, or near impossible, to be alone by yourself when you want to be.  How long has it been since you spent a single 8 hour period without seeing or hearing another person.  Have you ever in your lifetime?     It's downright sad when you think about it.   

Meeting someone new should be a joyful experience, but instead it is just "yet another douchebag".    There are so many people in each of our lives that we can't even keep track of them all.   Is that the way you think it is supposed to be?    I don't think so.   We are like ants on a rotting stump, and red ants will never get along with black ants, no matter how hard you try to wash their brains.   Accept reality and get over the BS.

Oh boy. I think you have hurt more feelers with this one post, than you have in your 25 years on this site. I thought me posting this here “on a bet if you recall” would ruffle a few feathers, but this. 
 

You do have a valid stance tho wrench. This flu will take those that let it, and those that are meant to remain fishing another day, will cast another line.
