Here on the Lake O tribs we have to wait until the lake gets above 657.2 Anything below that and the fish can't make the jump up into the creeks. There will be a bunch of eagles, hawks, and ospreys just waiting for one to try to squeeze through the 150 yards of clear ankle deep water. Very darn few will make it.

I fish within your 5 county area and do just as well at low lake levels, just have to adjust to the first shoal.
