Last year birds got all my Blueberries.

This year I drove post along them, strung wire up and put netting over it.

I also found I can drive post with one hand.

Been busy this morning working in air you can wear.

Mowed my Garden off. Pulled some onions. Picked a few Peas but thinking of waiting until they all fill out.

Seen my Mother in Law was gone so blowed some Leaves away from her apartment and burnt them.

Then took half the Mulch from my Blackberries and put it on the Garden.

Going to plant a Fall Garden, looks like most stuff is to be planted in July.

Tied down the mater vines, gave them some neem and copper sulfate water ,did my weekly spray of organic base fungicide mix for molds, caterpillars ,flies, and mites ,and other critters because they are out and hungry! I'll post some pics next week of these plants.

Picked 3 zucchini.

Watered the melon patch. Planted ,24 watermelon seeds, 23 sprouted.

Put out a jug of sun tea, because there's actually some sun today. Made homemade lemonade too. It's for American Honey Liber Tea this evening. 🍻

Maybe the squirrels will let have one or two of these guys.

I'm in the same boat. Soooo many squirrels here. Last year one (or maybe a raccoon) dragged a tomato to the deck rail and ate half of it.

We put up chicken wire around the beds to keep the dang rabbits out this year. It looks like he77, but it's working. Last night something killed a rabbit, or maybe two, in the yard. Pretty mangled up and pieces in two places. I don't think it was either of our dogs, but they have been nose to the ground in both the front and back yard the last couple days.  I hope the foxes are back.

Last year they would grab the nearly ripened tomatoes and sit on the bird seed bench and eat them within sight of our kitchen😒.

I haven't bought an airgun to shoot them. So I will have to talk with our neighbors to let us use the 22's this fall for population control.

I got a new tee shirt. Would you two like me to have a conversation with your rodent friends? I can tell them we can do it the easy way or hard way. My squirrels understand me and know the consequences.

So much for early corn, that severe thunderstorm that came rushing in around dark last night pushed all my  corn flat onto the ground. Doubt it will stand back up, maybe the weeds and grass cushioned the fall, haha, other than that and losing a few 7' Holly Hocks , some tall marigold branches that broke off, the tomatoes ,peppers, and zucchini rode out the 65-70+ winds. Back yard is littered with Oak pieces.

I've just got the one zucchini plant but she's beautiful.
