When you buy more, Moore and mopan you can thank me or cuss me for the price. I fished them in 75 through 80 quite a bit. They were the cats meow right after ice out on farm ponds and into the spring. Slow retrieve size 4s and 5s with dressed trebles. Those big stinkin green bass loved them. Chain pickerel love those spinners as well. Had to get some new ones since I hadn't used any in a long time.

The 2 don't usually pal out together. At least that's MY theory, and I can't think of a single time where I've been catching both in the same area at the same time. It works the other way around too. I'd challenge you to catch a green bass in the same area of a creek during the Spring white bass run. Doing so has always been extremely rare in my experiences. I fished with Dutch many years ago for whites and he said the same thing, if you start picking up LM or crappie etc. Move. Sometimes when prospecting up the river you cover some non white producing water inhabited by other critters, worst of all is the occasional muskie, apparently they hate Mepps and rattle traps also.

Do the whites corner all the food for themselves? Not sure. Green bass just don't seem to like White bass very well. Whites and gar will occupy the same areas alot, and I've caught Walleye and Catfish in with the Whites more than once, so I don't think it's the Whites that are the ones being racist......for a change. 🙄 Imagine that! 😏
