I can't stand fishing when it's like that!  I wish you had a better day for your buddy.

Considering he had only caught a few trout in his life, he didn't think it was too bad. I know how it usually though and was highly disappointed.

The net man always says that...😂

There are also massive blocks of moss floating in the dam area of the Rock. You can see them on the surface and down to 40 feet on live scope. The bottom is also covered out as deep as you can see.  Possibly out to 20'. I think its going to be a super bad moss year

When people say moss...is it filamentous algae?

Apologies for the confusion. I realize that most anglers refer to it as filamentous algae instead of moss. Hopefully you were the only one confused.......

They are predicting 4-7 inches over the 4-day weekend for the whole area.  They'll bring the big water through, probably not spill gates but 4 units for sure.  That will clean out the algae, move some scuds and cause a scud-feast.  May be bring in some shad too.

I was hoping for some down water this spring but that's not going to happen now.  On to the spring patterns.

Dang it, the clear water early really let's the moss/algae grow early and fast.  Which means  when I start fishing for wally at Stockton I will have to fight that slimy crap, get too close to anything and boom slimed.  Or . .   Maybe the rain predictions are correct and it will get colored up and big.
