Bill Babler Posted March 26, 2021 Posted March 26, 2021 Needs to stop chasing those hooked fish with his trolling motor on Rayburn with all that underwater structure If the drag on your reel can’t handle the fish throw the crappy thing in the lake and get some decent reels Man the fishing pressure is just terrible down there. Bobby Lane said he had 15 people fishing around him and I believe they said there was a 400 boat derby today also. dtrs5kprs 1 http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com

Bill Babler Posted March 26, 2021 Author Posted March 26, 2021 I totally agree, that was completely stupid. That rod and drag is the only thing that keeps that line from breaking. He is for the most part creating his own problems. We have all been there asking ourselves, why did we do that or just how did that happen. When your fishing with that kind of pressure, it’s easy to make mistakes. dtrs5kprs 1 http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com

I just snuck a peek at regatta permits for April on The Rock and this pond is going to take a beating. Is it safe to say Table Rock has passed LOZ in overall pressure for Bass? dtrs5kprs 1
Bill Babler Posted March 26, 2021 Author Posted March 26, 2021 Last year I tallied up the numbers and LO had a few more total boats. I believe they stated this morning Rayburn had 324 derby’s last year and I can’t remember but think that was behind both TR and LO. Don’t know the number of boat however Lucas just lost another one. He catches his bites and he would have blown this away http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com

He catches his bites and he would have blown this away Just looked up the Rock for 2021 and it looks like 563 sanctioned tournaments with close to 11,000 boats so far. I'm sure there will be more Lake O. 515 tournaments. Did not count boats, but the Rock blew both Rayburn and Lake O. away. Those were 2020 year stats for Sam Rayburn however but no way they are going to add an additional 200 derbys in 21. http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
willyfish Posted March 26, 2021 Posted March 26, 2021 That really surprises me to hear that. I would of thought Rayburn, Fork, Toledo Bend would be at the top of lists like that. We are talking tournaments of course, if you add in recreational fishermen I wonder what the numbers looked like. Its very interesting and very telling.
Bill Babler Posted March 26, 2021 Author Posted March 26, 2021 One winter a few years back I tried to look up the entire US. Spent several days on it and Lake O was number 1 and Table Rock number 2 in the country. That's not counting those chain lakes in Florida, Georgia and Alabama or the California Delta. Texas was up there, with Fork, but TB and Rayburn were back a bit. As far as throwing in recreational anglers I would not have a clue how to even figure that out but I'd put money on Texas. http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
Lvn2Fish Posted March 26, 2021 Posted March 26, 2021 We’re are lucky to have lakes that really don’t have dead water . Some of the lakes I’ve fished around the country fish so dang small compared to anything here .
