fished downstream this afternoon and no one around.  suited me just fine.  i fished from cow creek back up under the bridge just a bit.  never had a bite out on the main lake.  ended up with 5 keeps, with three of them pretty nice fish.  a doodle and an iovino crankbait got the bites.  doodle fish were 15 to 25 ft. deep

something that might explain why there seems to be a lack of shallower fish, is the fact that i saw several balls of shad 40 to 50 ft. deep.  still can't believe there was not a jillion boats out.

Heard from someone that the Viola ramp was packed yesterday, maybe people are chasing whites and crappie.

Nice toad!

Nice big smallie. I’ve been down for last two days and no one was fishing by the dam yesterday but today was different story. Lots of bass boats and big boats. We caught some really nice fish the last few days on crank baits. My dad even caught a 2 lb rainbow trout today on a rock crawler which was odd. We had two K’s and a meanmouth pushing 4lbs the last few days. Good to be back out on the water. It’s been a while.934E39D9-DB9A-4792-AFD7-5F7402A8B33B.jpegB71C7451-27E4-47EF-90AB-6D328D092118.jpegBB61E778-7332-4EEC-9A65-0FDDBD1DEF80.jpeg
