liphunter Posted April 12, 2021 Posted April 12, 2021 Great little side trip!!! You know if you put a little piece of tape over that engine light. It's like "Poof!" no more problem.😁 FishnDave 1 Luck is where preparation meets opportunity...... Or you could just flip a coin???
snagged in outlet 3 Posted April 12, 2021 Author Posted April 12, 2021 Went back this morning at daylight to get a couple more hours in before we leave for Charleston. Went to what I thought was the best section. Only 4 taps. Then figured out why. The drift boats showed up. Apparently it’s below the last barrier to floating all the way to the French broad. Headed back upstream and was on them immediately. Only took pictures of two nice ones. Both around 17”s. Great fishing again. I’ll be back next weekend on the way back. But staying In gatlinburg. snagged in outlet 3 Posted April 12, 2021 Author Posted April 12, 2021 Btw, it was an oil change maintenance light because the dealer didn’t reset it last week. Quillback 1

I've never been fishing with him but he was one of the people a friend of mine down there recommended previously. Ended up going with Jason Davis last time and had a lot of fun. I'm sure you'll have a blast out there. Also, if you are on Isle of Palms try to eat at Acme Lowcountry Kitchen, its really good

jdmidwest Posted April 13, 2021 Posted April 13, 2021 What does that French Broad look like? Easy jet boat fishing? My fishing buddy will probably settle in Chattanooga when he retires. We are planning on things between here and there. Have not hit the Knoxville areas yet. Liked Cordell Hull, Center Hill was ok. Tims Ford and Normandy were a little different but there is alot of Duck River in that area to fish. East TN is good scenery, but the TN River in West Tn has been pretty productive. Bushbeater Posted April 13, 2021 Posted April 13, 2021 The French Broad has always intrigued me. Really would like to check her out. Looks beautiful from the hiway.
