I am about to pull the trigger on a Force. So any Force owners have any in put good or bad?

I have absolutely ZERO experience with the Garmin trolling motor.

As far as I'm concerned, at least for another 3-4 years until we see how things go, there are only 2 brands of trolling motors.    And you already know which two they are.

Gamble at your own risk. 😊

Wrench can be a downer. Not that he does not know a lot. But he is a cynic.

I have had the Force on my boat since last year. I am totally satisfied.

I have used a Motorguide from more than ten years ago, a Terrova, and Ulterra. None can match what I have in the Force. More power with less battery drain and a better spot lock. Easier implementation (the word I want eludes me) and retrieval.

I would choose between it and a Ghost.

What kind of magical armature construction do you suppose accounts for that?

Ya reckon they've paid off the government for better satellite pairing?

Cynical? I don't believe so.

Skeptical?  Oh yeah, always. 🤷‍♂️

i bought a motor guide tour pro.  the bracket is way better.  i have looked at the others and their brackets and locking system is not on par.  the steering system in the tour pro is fully cable.  if the servos would happen to quit, you can still steer the trolling motor.  the others, you can not.  the tour pro has the pinpoint gps system.  it will keep you on a dime, even in the middle of a 20 mph wind.  the steering is very quiet.  never even hear it with normal movement.  i have it on a pantera II and have the 24v model, which is 82 lb. thrust.  two people, 50 gal. of fuel, and livewells full, it does 2.7 mph gps.  i've run mine 3 trips without charging, and could not tell a bit of difference on the 3rd trip from the first.  no electronic interference.  it deploys and parks like a tinker toy.  i ran minn kota's for years and this is a way better troller.

Bottom line. this generation is radically better than what you have experienced.

I'll agree with Bo on the MotorGuide Tour Pro. I tried the ghost and the anchor mode just did not compare to the MotorGuide. The direct cable control steering is the feature that brought me back to the MotorGuide and of course I have used a MotorGuide trolling motor for years with no real problems other than normal maintenance items. They were just late in getting it on the market with the anchor mode. The Xi5 was a good motor but the bracket and the foot pedal steering control did suck.....

My Force will hold me on a dime also. Deploys and stores flawlessly. Super quite. Moves 19, Triton fully loaded at 4.1 mph. Follows it,s path excellent. Cannot complain at all love it.
