I respect their right to protest, I just think it is in very poor taste to do so. Those athletes will never be able to sell me any product, assuming I have paid attention enough to know who they are. And guess what...there are a lot of people who will be MORE likely to buy a product they are pushing. "Poor taste"? They don't care and they shouldn't care if they believe in what they are protesting. The idea is to visibly get their views aired. Where they have failed, if it could be called failure on their part and not refusal to pay attention on the part of those decrying them, is in getting the message out loud and clear as to WHAT they are protesting and WHY they are protesting. When this kneeling thing first happened, people with agendas immediately equated it with sullying the flag and insulting "our troops". When it had absolutely NOTHING to do with either. Can you even tell me what they are protesting at this point? Are you a black person or would you even listen to the concerns of black people in this country? This whole thing infuriates me. Since when did kneeling become a sign of contempt or disrespect. You kneel to pray. You used to kneel to royalty as a sign of respect. They kneel not in disrespect for the flag or the country, but to call attention to things they care deeply about in--guess what--a respectful way. Okay, I'm done...I've been trying to keep my cyber mouth shut about political stuff lately; it just puts me in a bad mood. Nick Adams 1

I really don’t think Nike is more likely to make money after Kapernick poo pooed their Betsy Ross shoes because he thought the American Flag represented something bad. The timing was not because of Covid like some suggest. They lost $790 million. also what about the NFL losses? There might be some radicals more likely to buy Nikes but let’s look at the big picture. The guy wears “pig” socks. And tries to have his own workout to promote himself, which failed miserably…and rightly so. The numbers show that Kapernick doesn’t have a leg to stand on anyway in the subject of bias by cops against blacks…but that doesn’t matter if you have an agenda to push and your football career is on the downslope. timinmo 1 "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor

Well put. 👍 And, once again.....if you are the one looking around to see who isn't standing proud with hand over heart, then YOU are being equally as "disrespectful" or whatever you wanna call it. fishinwrench Posted August 6, 2021 Posted August 6, 2021 There's numerous other ads that need to be screened as well. If need be I'll point them out as they pop up.....just in case nobody else is noticing. Way more crude, tasteless, and controversial than anything I have posted, EVER. Sorry that they generate money for ya. This filth needs to GO!

Nick Adams Posted August 6, 2021 Posted August 6, 2021 Aren't ads served up by Google based on the individual's cookies (ie browsing history and interests)? So, what else do you browse for besides fishing forums?

So, what else do you browse for besides fishing forums? Nope. This is the only site that I see them. And they are here repeatedly EVERY DAY. Wanna see a screenshot of my browsing history? Probably alot more innocent than yours.
Nick Adams Posted August 6, 2021 Posted August 6, 2021 Sure, I'd love a screenshot of you browsing history. I've used an ad blocker for years, so I don't see any ads here or anywhere else. Wish I could be of more help in your quest to avoid weird boob ads.
