Quillback Posted August 9, 2021 Posted August 9, 2021 I've caught these boys in the salt water and in rivers, but never in the Great Lakes. Going to have to go up there one of these days and fish for them. Deadstream Posted August 10, 2021 Posted August 10, 2021 Have a trip planned for Monday 16th. Friends from Missouri flying up to Traverse City Sunday. We are fishing out of Frankfort then will spend a few days on the local rivers and small streams chasing trout. Lots of quality salmon being caught. Many beers will be killed. BilletHead 1

I would be interested to hear how your salmon fishing turns out. Hopefully you all get into them!

We were up that way last year for a funeral but didn't get a chance to fish with all the Covid stuff going on. Looks like some nice water to fish. Good luck and put a report up.
Foghorn Posted August 16, 2021 Posted August 16, 2021 I'm with Doug on fishing the PM although the Muskegon and White rivers have also been good to us in the past. Susie's first salmon on the PM was an estimated 30# caught across from the Green Cabin. fshndoug, BilletHead and Quillback 3
