I checked some Fishmap.org spots.  I zoomed in on the closest one, it was somebody's driveway, not near water. 🙄

That happens. I know that when I upload an observation in INaturalist the location can get skewed from what I put into the system. So I either ignore those spots in Fishmap.org or make a guessimate as to what the closest body of water might be if there are only a few collections in an area.

Might try some of the strip pits on the lower Meramec...Pallisades, Catawissa, South Side of Castlewood...There are some sloughs on public land in W. Alton that might hold a few too. There are some scum holes in the Creve Coeur floodplain too.

They are on my bucket list.  I was searching online for information of bowfin around the Saint Louis area.  Found a few folks that are posting pictures, but smartly not giving their spot away.  And another guy on an aquarium website that says he know of very good spot in StL for Bowfin.  It was a post from 2006, I couldn't figure out how to contact the guy, especially without signing up as a member on their forum.

I know @Ham can put me on some. :)

There are some in Dardenne Creek.  An co-employee I used to fish with caught one out of the St. Peters Golf Course lake that had crawled up (or had been thrown in) from the creek.

They are an invasive species in the US so I'm all about giving out places to get rid of them.
