Looks like some perv in Springfield has found a loophole in the system and flying drones in your backyards.

Springfield Neighborhood Concerned About Drones

I cured that around here, planted enough trees that grass does not even grow.  But if I do hear the buzz, hunting accident when trying to pop whatever is in season at the moment.

So everyone that flies a drone is a perv?

Maybe if some of the complainers had actually used one they would understand it’s a poor tool for that and that nobody is looking into their yard. W eshould take binoculars off the market too.

We've had them fly over our house before but lately it’s been a model biplane that does tricks and stuff.

It does seem to be an invasion of privacy to fly your drone around in neighbors yards regardless if it is spy on them while sun bathing or changing clothes.

I have seen some great fishing video where the drone is one of three cameras filming the action. It adds an interesting perspective to strikes and fighting the fish in.

Had one buzzing about 50 feet above me one day while fishing Beaver a couple of years ago.  It hung around me for a good 15 minutes.  Didn't know I was that attractive.

I agree that it is. And I would have a problem with one hovering around me no matter where I am. But most of them are just flying by and just trying to have some fun.

There is a big community of drone racers in Springfield and I think those are the ones most people see. Pretty cool to watch them get together and race.

And the are excellent for adding a different camera angle. I ended up selling mine. Too many whiners complaining about them every time I posted a pic from one. Telling me the “rules” when they really had no idea what the real rules are.

But I’ll probably add one to my camera gear again one of these days,

One of the best uses I ever found for them was searching new water. Should I wade up river or down river?? I’ll just send the drone up and see which way looks best.

Is this a good spot to camp for the night or is there a better spot around that bend?

It was also extremely useful when fishing a beach. I could send it up and immediately see the spots to focus on.

So what was his reasonable excuse for cruising one around in the back yards?  Beavers damming up a swimming pool?  New ideas to enhance his single wide?

I fully understand the applications of aerial photos to enhance their photography portfolio.  But, I have wondered thru my neighbors yards after they go to sleep, nothing photo worthy.  But I have eliminated some of their pests.

Don’t know. Wasn’t there. But i have read comments on some neighborhood app and there are a lot of Karens in Springfield. Dude said he saw it come from the back of his house over the front. Was it even a drone that had a camera? We don’t know because he wasn’t man enough to go find out what was going on. He just whined to the media.

I think they approached the pilot sitting in his car according to news report.
