Yelp my Doctor says it will mess me up but he has no choice.

Legally I’m not to drive but my wife is worried about me getting lost.

I skipped the hydrocodone for the most part.  It will mess with your system.  Its a buzz that you can't control.  And screw up alot of other things like bowels, memory, and teeth or bones.

I could tolerate most of my pain by just sleeping thru it.  Or dealing with it during waking hours.  I could hit mine with topical numbing meds with Lidocane when it was needed.

I was given it after I broke three ribs and ruptured a lung.  2 doses were all I could tolerate.  It made me feel terrible.  The pain was easier to endure.

I agree.  I had some bones in my foot screwed together and took that crap for one day.  My doctor said you’ll never make it without them.  Ice packs and beer did it for me.  😁

I was wanting to go to a Wheelchair and my wife said no that if I did I would be tied to it. So I figured out how to get around but it is getting harder.

Yeah, don't go to that wheelchair if you can help it, once in one of those things you may never get out.

I took pain meds for three days after my knee replacement, dang things were worthless.

My experience with pain meds:  They don't actually do much for the pain, but they do make you stupid enough to not care.  Ibuprofen helps as much as anything for me.  Having had two back surgeries, both knees and both hips replaced, a rotator cuff repaired that involved screws, carpal tunnel release on both hands and a kidney stone that would not pass, I'm an expert.
