oneshot Posted October 24, 2021 Author Posted October 24, 2021 Yelp my Doctor says it will mess me up but he has no choice. Legally I’m not to drive but my wife is worried about me getting lost. oneshot
jdmidwest Posted October 25, 2021 Posted October 25, 2021 I skipped the hydrocodone for the most part. It will mess with your system. Its a buzz that you can't control. And screw up alot of other things like bowels, memory, and teeth or bones. I could tolerate most of my pain by just sleeping thru it. Or dealing with it during waking hours. I could hit mine with topical numbing meds with Lidocane when it was needed. Terrierman 1 "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. The pain was easier to endure. snagged in outlet 3 and Terrierman 2

Ice packs and beer did it for me. 😁
Flysmallie Posted October 25, 2021 Posted October 25, 2021 I took that after my last knee surgery. It turned me into a raging maniac. I'll never take that again.
Quillback Posted October 25, 2021 Posted October 25, 2021 I took pain meds for three days after my knee replacement, dang things were worthless. snagged in outlet 3 1

My experience with pain meds: They don't actually do much for the pain, but they do make you stupid enough to not care. Ibuprofen helps as much as anything for me. Having had two back surgeries, both knees and both hips replaced, a rotator cuff repaired that involved screws, carpal tunnel release on both hands and a kidney stone that would not pass, I'm an expert.
