By the way underwater rubberized gorilla tape works unbelievably well.  

Not sure on how much, we were across the river about 1/4 mile down from the boat launch at Riley's.   It took a good amount of time to empty, had two drain plugs removed and the hole draining for a few minutes.

Glad you got the surf board repaired buddy.  You could of just thrown some flex seal on there and let her rip! Lol

I'm thinking about welding a piece of 1/8" thick by 2" wide flat stock from there to the first rib to stiffen the bottom.   Thoughts?

If I wanted to reinforce that part of the bottom I'd do in on the inside of the boat and put it from gunwale to gunwale if I could.
