How could there be? It defies logic.  If they are trying to limit the fish kill, they ought to only be open on week days, so fewer anglers, but if that's even a concern they should just cancel C&R. It has nothing to do with Parks or MDC employees working because they'd be on the job through the week anyhow. The Park itself is open 7 days. Just a bureaucratic Stupidity.

I thought that "closed seasons" on game animals was to protect the species during it's most vulnerable times.   

Having a closed season on hatchery raised and stocked trout does seem a bit odd.

We can't hunt on most Sundays. I've been told that the animals need some down time and not be pressured everyday. Not sure what those animals are doing with the other 8 months when they aren't being hunted 🤔. Really think that the law was put in place to get dad to go to church with the family.
