Dark duck or goose meat is just something you either love or hate. Don't think there is any in between. 

Brother in law grinds it with the liver and makes pate'.  His family including kids just simply love it. 

Another friend crock pots it and yet another pounds out the breast and grills it wrapped around a jalapeno or mushroom. 

If we are doing something special and go to an up scale cantonese or mandarin restaurant, my wife will order Peking duck or crispy duck every time. 

Just like doves or venison, your either in or out.
