DADAKOTA Posted January 21, 2022 Posted January 21, 2022 Anyone have any experience selling a car through Vroom or Carvana?
snagged in outlet 3 Posted January 23, 2022 Posted January 23, 2022 I haven’t but I sure see a lot of carvana trucks hauling cars. I bought my last 4 vehicles completely online and through emails or texts. The whole dealership experience is just ridiculous. One chrysler dealer wouldn’t sell me a truck unless I came in and talked to his sales manager. Because I argued that a truck with 5000 miles on it was used. A week later I text the salesman a picture of my new truck and told him to show it to it to his boss😂 Terrierman, nomolites and Daryk Campbell Sr 1 2

I hate their ignorance. Especially when they start telling me what it will take to fix any imperfections in the finish or try to sell me exterior finish coatings. No bigger waste of money than that. When the youngest needed a car she knew exactly what she wanted. We looked all over and test drove several. We knew the one she wanted. So on a Saturday morning we head to the dealership, with cash, to get her car. The salesman was awesome and I told him what I would pay. And pointed out all the imperfections to make my offer reasonable. His sales manager wouldn’t budge. He told me in front of his salesman, and my wife and daughter, that he knew what he had and he wasn’t budging. I told him that I knew that the cars he had, there were 3 like she wanted, all had been there longer than 90 days. I whipped out a stack of hundreds equaling the 13,000 I was prepared to pay. He would come below 13,500 and I grabbed my cash and walked. It wasn’t about 500 dollars, it was his attitude. The salesman followed us all the way to the car. Then the General Manager showed up. And I told him exactly how he lost that sale and who’s fault it was. A few hours later this douchebag sales manager calls and tells, not asks, is to come back and see if we can work out a deal. Not that he will accept my offer. But we’ll work out a deal. Hilariously I had just handed that cash to another salesman at a different dealership. I loved being able to tell him that. I also loved seeing that car sit on their lot another 60 days before it disappeared. Can’t we just buy a car without playing childish games? Terrierman, BilletHead, grizwilson and 2 others 5
Terrierman Posted January 23, 2022 Posted January 23, 2022 I've bought probably a couple of dozen trucks from the same guy at Tri Lakes in Branson. He tells me what it is going to cost and I buy or not. Zero gamesmanship. That's what relationships can do. gotmuddy 1
Brian K. Shaffer Posted January 23, 2022 Posted January 23, 2022 Let me sit with you next time Terrierman.... better yet - can you introduce to your friend ? Good stuff. I am still chuckling - a couple of dozen trucks... ha! Just once I wish a trout would wink at me! ozarkflyfisher@gmail.com I'm the guy wearing the same Simms longbilled hat for 10 years now.

I am still chuckling - a couple of dozen trucks... ha! Most were for a business that I managed. Bought several Chevy's from a different guy over at Pinegar too. So feel free to chuckle on, since you don't know me from Adam. No introductions unless you ask nicely and then only maybe.

So I know it’s possible for all of them. Terrierman and nomolites 2
snagged in outlet 3 Posted January 23, 2022 Posted January 23, 2022 When I worked at GM I bought a BUNCH of vehicles off the old personal employee program. PEP. Managers and execs put 3000 to 5000 miles on them and they would go into the pep program for 40% off sticker. Since they got to order whatever they wanted they were always loaded up high end models. Lots of Vettes, caddies and trucks. I would buy at least one every year if not 2. Terrierman and awhuber 2
snagged in outlet 3 Posted January 23, 2022 Posted January 23, 2022 Some people might scoff at this but I was a huge Pontiac fan. Sad day when GM quit making them and kept the Buick line instead. awhuber, nomolites and Terrierman 3
snagged in outlet 3 Posted January 23, 2022 Posted January 23, 2022 It might sound crazy but I got tired of titling and selling them all over and over. Terrierman and Daryk Campbell Sr 2
