There was a time when sight-fishing was frowned upon heavily.   Back in my bass club days I caught alot of hell for sight-fishing. There were several guys that would get all pissy and leave the weigh-in as soon as they saw me headed to the scales with a decent bag of fish.  

My, how times have changed. 🙄

Good comparison.

It's hard to see it being good, long term. Especially on the deep fish.
