Fish24/7 Posted April 10, 2022 Posted April 10, 2022 If there's 57°+ water somewhere in a spawning area I would say yes. Crappie usually start their spawn at 56ish and it peaks in the mid to upper 60's. So I assume it's safe to say it's just getting started.
Bassin4fun Posted April 11, 2022 Posted April 11, 2022 I think it was up to 54-56 where I was yesterday. I am sure it will be above that this week. Someone else posted they were catching crappie in 8ft water in brush on Friday. So I am thinking this week and next they will be up shallow.
aarchdale@coresleep.com Posted April 12, 2022 Posted April 12, 2022 Went back yesterday and caught them again pretty good, 6-8ft on brush, water temp jumped from 49 Friday to 54 where i was. Wind direction changed and they weren't on the same brush as they were Friday. Only had 9 keepers yesterday in 3 hours, had my little boy with me and ill take 9 as a win, a 7 year old trying to crappie fish in the wind is kinda tough Zulu, Jerry Rapp, m&m and 6 others 9
