Trout capital.

In a few weeks Kalkaska, MI  will have the 85th National trout festival. Is it the world capital?  Grayling, MI 25 miles away begs to differ.  Arkansas has several offers.  Throw in your choices if you wish.

I haven't heard of it, but that doesn't mean much.  I hadn't heard of Cawker City, Kansas, and they have the WORLD'S BIGGEST BALL OF TWINE!! 😄

What's it like, have you been to it before?

Yep, Cawker City KS.  Great Lake nearbye, Bird Hunting and BIG Whitetails and Mulies.  I'm 5 10ish and that ball of twine is taller then me. Downs,KS is close and has rooms.

My bad. 😄  I meant, have you been to Kalkaska, MI, before, and/or the Trout Festival?  What's THAT like?

Been to both places.  Kalkaska,MI water tower is much better. Grayling, Mi is really good. Baldwin, MI has a great festival.
