Anyone have experience with Sufix 832? It looked good, thin durable. My first experience with it on a Pflueger President was not good It would form small looped knots often while casting. I could usually get them undone but had to cut the Line 3 times before I gave up on it. Twice I spoiled the line out behind the boat and respooled it.

OK, before someone says it, I just read anarticle that said that wind knots are user error. That being said I've used Nanofil for the last couple years and though knots do occur it is much less frequent.

I use 10lb Power Pro with a leader. White or yellow high vis, green is too hard to see. I've been using the same spool for 3 years now and I don't think it has knotted up once.

I like Fireline too, it has a little more memory than normal braid but still far less than mono.

I used Nanofil for a season, it was okay, but I found that it would eventually fatigue just from running through the guides. I'd have to strip a hundred feet off now and then to get to fresh stuff before a knot would hold. It also sucks to tie with. I never bought any more, it really didn't seem to offer much over regular braid.

I have buddies that can't stand braid, cuss it the whole time they're forced to use it, but I get along fine and don't do anything special. Occasionally I will get a loop around the front of the spool but it's easily dealt with before it gets out of hand. Reeling on a totally slack line is what does that.

I’ve used the Suffix 832. I was not wowed by it nor do I hate it. I have no plans to buy more.

Ive been a huge proponent of Nanofil. I still believe it casts better than most braids, but lately it just has not held up well enough for me.

Im transitioning over to the fancy finesse braid. I’ve had better experiences with both the Spro and the Daiwa 8 strand J Braid.

I’m still ok with Power Pro and Power Pro V2

I really like Seaguar Smackdown (it ain't cheap either Curtis 😄).  The high viz green holds it's color well and it, for me at least, is just right for tying my braid to leader knots.  Some brands are too stiff and other too limp, Smackdown is just right for me.

I only use it on spinning gear, so don't know how it would work on a BC.
