Pre-Father's Day Float

My nephew wanted his dad to take him kayaking down a river for the first time for Father's Day. He has floated a few times before in a canoe or raft with his mom and dad but never alone in a kayak. They built a new house on a little lake and got him a kayak so he can handle the boat but I thought it would be interesting to see how he handled it on the river. Actually it was very fun. He's not scared of anything, tries to go the roughest way possible, or backwards, through any tough spots. Luckily the James isn't that tough, but we were able to have some fun and catch a few fish.

Thanks uncle Ronnie! Good job with the lens and report.

Looks like he had a great time. Did he ever not smile? I can count that kids teeth!

Second pic from the bottom he ain't smiling. He's actually quite pissed. The fish keep chasing his rooster tail but they won't eat. But this is towards the end he has refused most instruction from his dad and I all day so we just let him struggle it out. I bought him 6 rooster tails before the float. He's on number 6 at this point. The rest are tree ornaments. #6 didn't make it to the takeout either.
