I'm a tin hatter on this one. Not that I would be likely to do anything that would warrant a DNA search. I still don't feel that I need a database having my DNA records.

I'm not sure I trust the capabilities of these places to do a DNA test correctly. How can you prove that the info they have given you is correct? Or do they just fill it in with some BS to get your cash.

And I'm positive that I don't trust them enough to accurately store my DNA info.

And the 3rd and most important reason; I don't care.

Lovey wanted me to do one of those deals so I did.  Found out that I have a bunch of distant relatives that I've never heard of.  Fascinating I tell you.

I couldn't care less about a DNA search match.  Just because it might say I have german ancestry or something I am not gonna go buy lederhosen and invade the low countries.  I am happy being a mutt Hillbilly.

OK having a hard time keeping up because this is a different family but was close to our family.

Talks of France,  Plantations,  Slaves and Civil War.

Just this is a different family.

I only have 7 kids.

Never thought of this as a problem.  This guy had a problem with our Family Records because they was in French.

Seems big payments were made with land.

One guy not in the family got 150 acres for building a Stone Fireplace.

I was having problems because this book is about another family and I was in the wrong Chapter.

At what time?  The French Revolution was over half a century before the Civil War.

Around 1600 as far as I can tell you.

From what I can find they was very Religious,  Democrats and most fought for the Confederacy.  Very upstanding people.
