There are very few wake boats on Toledo Bend, thank goodness!  There are a lot of pontoon boats that are used, primarily, for crappie (sac-a-lait) fishing.  If any of you come to Toledo, you might want to book a crappie guide for a day.  The lake is loaded with them, and there are numerous guides available.

Having said that about Toledo Bend, our group from Louisiana began spending a week on Table Rock in 1982.  We love the beauty of the lake, and always catch a lot of fish.  The smallmouth and "football" spots are special.  See you in April!

They fished 5 days and caught 20 fish.

I would not have lasted the 5 days.

Me either, buddy. Sure not making a 6-hour drive towing the boat for a 7-pounder. Lots of places to do that closer to home that are a lot less trouble. I'm getting old and soft. I'd rather drive a couple of hours to Bull Shoals and catch 30 smaller fish a day, go back to the motel and back the rig up to the room, take a hot shower, go have a nice dinner at a wide choice of restaurants, then come back to the room and watch my choice of sports on cable TV while I fall asleep in my cushy bed.

The womenfolk call that "glamping" nowadays, I think. Sign me up.

You Ark boys are just like your basketball team! Soft!! Ok, just kidding. I totally understand. But want to report the 13th Legacy Class bass was caught there yesterday. 13.34 lbs. Thats in this calendar year! A 7 lb bass is a great fish anytime anywhere. And you are right Champ. We are lucky to have those bass close to home. I had a few "bucket list" items i wanted to check off. Go to Wrigley. Check. Go to Fenway. Check. Harvest a 200 class buck. Still trying. Catch a 10 lb bass. Still trying. Taking a trip to lakes like OH Ivie or as you boys stated Toledo Bend gives me a chance. Not sure our lakes do anymore.

Been a while since I have heard of a 10 lber or even a 9 lber coming out of the Rock.

A few years ago, one of McClelland's boys caught a 12 + here in Bella Vista at the local pond that gets stocked with trout.

Thought i might take a little heat for my comment about the Ark basketball team. But hey, i picked them to upset Kansas in the second round!! They are long and athletic. Got 2 lottery picks supposedly. And they have made back to back runs to the Elite 8. As a Tiger fan let me say, Go Hogs!!!

Couple of years ago at the Big Bass Tour event there was a 9. That's the largest I've heard of or seen in a while. Babler had a 9-10lb'er if I recall on a jerkbait a while back. Maybe he can post a pic again but it was at least 5+ years ago and probably more like 10 yrs ago. Mike Webb's 11'ber is the largest I've heard of in the last 20+ years. Granted there are probably a lot of good' ol boys that catch them but you just don't hear about it.

Man that is a stretch, but if the Hogs can shoot and hit their free throws, they might have a chance.  Of course that is assuming that can get past the Illini.
